CIO Job Report: March's job moves and CIOs wanted

CIO moves

Ian Dobb, outgoing CIO at Channel 4, is to leave the broadcaster from June. Dobb is to set up a consultancy with a Channel 4 colleague and is succeeded by Kevin Gallagher, formerly Channel 4's head of applications delivery.

Unisys has appointed Suresh Mathews as CIO. Previously, Mathews held the position of EVP and CIO at Interstate Brands, and has also worked for Quaker State Corporation and PepsiCo.

Andy Barker has left his job as director of information systems at Kent Police to join the National Police Improvement Agency as Information System Improvement Strategy programme director. In his new post he'll be charged with deploying common standards and IT through the police service.

CIOs wanted

Applications have now closed for the position of CIO at the Serious Fraud Office. The job involves implementing the IT strategy for the organisation and the Digital Forensics Unit, as well as optimising IT to help in criminal investigations.

The Royal Opera House has also closed applications for its IT chief. The organisation is seeking a new head of technology to oversee, coordinate and integrate the management of its various technology platforms, from ticketing systems to digital media.

Associated British Foods is on the hunt for an IT shared services director. The job involves setting strategy, overseeing governance and engaging stakeholders with new tech.
