Managing director and global head of fixed income flow trading at Barclays Capital, Harry Harrison, said he expects to see the benefits of the technology "very quickly".

The platform is also designed to allow banks to quickly roll out new trading products and services, as well as grow with any increase in customer demand.

Other big names using the technology include ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Citi and RBS.
