The Oracle e-business suite, which includes the Human Capital Management, HR Self Service, Learning Management and Daily Business Intelligence applications, will support the processes needed to manage more than 3,000 staff across the UK.
Processes including employee information changes, payroll updates, job description changes and training will be performed through the system, which took 35 days to install and was completed in January. The implementation was provided by Application Lynx.
A spokesman for Bradford & Bingley said: "The implementation of the Oracle Employee and Manager Self Service modules has provided the business with the ability to undertake online HR transactions at its convenience. The [need for] completion of paper-based forms that need to be found, completed and despatched to HR each time is eradicated.
"Transactions are completed in real-time enabling the production of management information to be timely and accurate, providing the HR function and line managers the capabilities to proactively identify and address any people-related issues."
He added: "Reduction of transactional activities completed in the HR function allows the role of HR to support the business more effectively, focusing on delivering strategic value and improving employee relationships and employee capability."
