We are looking for applicants with a consulting background in the retail industry and in particular candidates who have experience in Merchandise and Assortment Planning. As well as experienced consultants we're looking for applicants from an End User Background where the candidate has played a significant role as part of a Functional / Business process team (e.g. Business Process Expert) in an SAP IS-Retail Project. The successful candidates will be able to :- Work as part of a project team delivering high quality solutions within the Retail Industry sector. Configure SAP as part of a SAP Logistics team on a SAP Retail project. Understand Retail Business Processes and be recognised as functionally excellent by a retail client especially in the area of Merchandise and Assortment Planning. Consult on business issues and the SAP IS-Retail Solution set to deliver lasting value to clients as part of IBM engagements Work with minimal supervision to produce consulting work products in more than one phase of an SAP IS Retail project. Develop and sustain positive working relationships with client management and staff during engagements Apply IBM and Industry standard methods and tools as appropriate to the clients needs. Demonstrate advanced core consulting skills, SAP IS Retail Solution expertise and Retail industry knowledge to support delivery to clients Coach other consulting and delivery staff contributing to their professional development The candidates sucessfully recruited into the more senior roles be recognised as a subject matter expert in the SAP IS Retail Solution set and Merchandise management and will additionally be able to :- Scope, shape and deliver ERP solutions to clients against defined client value propositions in both straightforward and complex environments Lead a team and to take accountability for the design and delivery of an entire work stream e.g. merchandising, supply chain, inventory management, purchasing. Work with little supervision keeping leadership appraised of project status in a timely manner raising issues of risk to the appropriate level at the appropriate time Develop and sustain strong working relationships with client middle and senior management Demonstrate expert core consulting skills Demonstrate an advanced level of SAP IS Retail solution knowledge and Retail industry expertise to support delivery to clients Supervise financial management of engagements to deliver value to clients and to IBM Perform an appropriate role in business development Perform an appropriate role in practice management, for example, in staff, internal engagement and / or knowledge management, business development or other The applicant should be an experienced SAP consultant who has significant experience of the SAP IS-Retail Industry solution set and the Retail industry. Knowledge of integration with other modules of SAP is desirable. The sucessful candidate will have experience of :- Configuration as part of a SAP Logistics team on a SAP Retail project. At least one end to end SAP project life cycle and a working knowledge of an accelerated SAP implementation methodology (e.g. ASAP). Ideally the applicant will have experience of working in a consulting environment however, we are also interested in exceptional applicants who have been working in an SAP project delivery capacity from a retail end user community. End User Applicants should have worked in an IS retail SAP Project team in a significant Functional / Process role and therefore have exposure to a structured project environment. They should also have experience in a variety of roles in a retail business. The candidates sucessfully recrutied into the more senior roles will additionally have experience of :- At least two end to end SAP project life cycles and a working knowledge of an accelerated SAP implementation methodology (e.g. ASAP). Leading teams of 5 or more direct reports. The sucessful candidates are likely to: Be EU citizen or possess a valid work permit to the UK (without travel/security restrictions) Possess a degree or have the relevant experience Have excellent communication and negotiating skills Have a thorough knowledge and first hand experience of working in a Retail business. Demonstrate man management and an ability to conduct and lead consultancy assignments. Have experience of working in different organizations and be able to integrate successfully into and negotiate their way around differing cultures. Be SAP trained in R/3 either through formal training or by experience.
