They participate in Test Planning activities and develop the test design with direction from the Test Architect. They evaluate the non-functional requirements for testability and participates in the review of the technical acceptance criteria. They develop the test scenarios and test cases for verifying that the "system is built right". Usually considered a technical expert in their field, focuses on testing of Performance, Security, Load and Capacity, Networks and Infrastructure. Performance test specialist to work as a member of the IBM UK Performance Test Centre. They will be asked to work a wide range of performance test opportunities across multiple industries. The candidate will work on a single or multiple projects, both on IBM sites and customer sites, and must be fully mobile. The Performance Test Centre requires a fully flexible individual in both their approach to work and their mobility. Performance Test Specialist with proven performance testing experience, including volume testing, load testing, stress testing and reliability testing. There must be a demonstration of a full and grounded understanding of performance testing approaches, methods and technologies. A strong technical understanding of Rational toolset which must include Performance Tester and Robot, and any associated certification. Again a strong technical understanding and experience of Mercury toolset which must include LoadRunner, and preferably LoadRunner certification to be held and Performance Centre exposure. Experience of all phases of testing, including integration, regression and non functional testing. The ability to create test strategies and plans for non-functional requirements. Useful to have: network and/or database analysis and monitoring, database schemas, programming (C, C++, Java), HTML and code functions and libraries. Test management skills including scope, scheduling and planning and must have good customer facing skills. Experience of team leadership of performance test teams and team management skills. Automated test tools, defect management processes, best practice testing practices to enable you to follow test scripts and report and suggestion on way forward following outcomes of performance test. Required Other Performance testing experience, including volume testing, load testing, stress testing and reliability testing : Mastered Rational toolset which must include Performance Tester and Robot : Applied Mercury toolset which must include LoadRunner : Applied Test management skills : Applied Automated test tools : Applied Test Process Methodology knowledge : Applied English: Fluent Additional information Good working knowledge and performance experience of multiple technologies and architecture, including the likes of, SAP, Oracle, Java, MQ, WebSphere, Siebel Multi-Industry experience. Knowledge and experience in other area of testing.
