A Microsoft Gold Partner, RM is the market leader in providing IT Solutions to the UK education sector, and has been voted amongst the top places to work in IT in 2008 by Computer Weekly. We are looking for a Senior / Lead Developer with a strong background in C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server to lead an exciting range of high-profile, business-critical development projects. The individual: - Of graduate calibre, with a strong background in full-lifecycle software development and experience of acting as the senior developer or technical lead on projects. Any experience of formal methodologies would be advantageous. - Experience of developing on the .NET platform using C# / VB.NET / ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server. Exposure to technologies such as Java or Linux would also be beneficial. - Formal Microsoft qualifications such as MCPs, MCAD or MCSD would be advantageous, however RM is happy to support to candidates wishing to gain these certifications. - Experience of leading development across the full project life cycle, ideally within a structured project management framework. - Strong problem solving and team working skills. - Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. In return for your efforts, you can expect a basic salary of £35,000 - £47,000, as well as a bonus scheme, excellent training (including support for MCSD.NET) pension, BUPA, permanent health insurance, life assurance, staff share scheme, discounted childcare vouchers and 25 days holiday with an optional extra holiday purchase scheme.
