Systems Architect - VOIP - Yorkshire - Systems Architect We are currently looking to recruit a Systems Architect (VOIP) within our Operations department. This role is based in London. The purpose of this role is to design, implement, support and maintain VoIP Infrastructure in line with departmental strategy, project plans and service level agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities of the Systems Architect - VOIP will include: - Work closely with the customer, Account Managers, and suppliers as part of a project to ensure that requirements are met through the provision of new/enhanced systems - Provide out of hours call-out for any systems-related faults on customer or core systems. - Maintain ticket history with progress on faults and provisioning to ensure all relevant personal are kept updated - Build/configure infrastructure solutions to meet KC and the customer’s business requirements - Implement infrastructure solutions according to agreed project plans - Provide troubleshooting and specialist support to the Operations and Network teams - The ability to manage multiple projects and competing workload with minimum supervision. - Provide solution workshops and training to support staff as appropriate to be able to support the complex solutions that are deployed. - Mentoring and training junior support and engineering staff. - Utilising graphing and monitoring tools to provide real-time statistics for the core Infrastructure systems. - Produce the required infrastructure documentation to enable the infrastructure to be maintained - Respond to system incidents identifying and rectifying infrastructure problems as required to ensure service to the business in line with the SLA - Manage and own specialist faults with external suppliers to the point of resolution. - Undertake root cause analysis to identify underlying problems, prevent reoccurrence and provide more cost effective service to the business - Raise Change Requests as required to assure the operational environment and SLA performance - Design infrastructure solutions to meet KC’s and the customer’s business requirements and in line with strategy and policies and standards - Compliance with all Security, Safety, Health & Environmental responsibilities and requirements as detailed in the Company’s Security, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies Experience & Skills Required of the Systems Architect - VOIP: - In depth knowledge of internet and internet technologies, including protocols and guidelines - In depth knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and protocols; including by not limited to: - Asterix - SIP - Broadworks - Cisco VoIP infrastructure and handsets - Understanding of system, network, application and user security software including 3 of the following - DNS - LDAP - RADIUS - EXIM or Sendmail - TCP/IP - Firewalling - Database technology - Infrastructure support experience in complex IT environment - IT infrastructure implementation experience in complex IT environment - Good understanding of IT infrastructure design - Good interpersonal and communication skills. - Experience of working in a Unix environment - Drive & determination. - Basic Project Management Skills - Able to manage own workload. - Good skills in: - Communications (oral, written, and presentation) - Customer care KCOM Group PLC offers competitive salaries and benefits package including bonus, pension scheme and 25 days holiday.
