SAP BW Designer – The Global Face of Electronics Exclusive new vacancy Background My client, arguably the global face and leader of the electronics industry, now seeks an experienced SAP BW Consultant (Business Warehouse) Consultant to join their in-house SAP / IS team. This company is a global market leader because of their innovation, attention to detail and market strategy. They offer a diverse range of products to the global market, and with revenues in the Billions they are heavily dependant on their IT Systems as a business enabler. The Role The Information Systems Europe (ISE) department is responsible for all business critical IS applications and data. Around 637 staff are responsible for IS related functions in Europe. In the central ISE group there are 349 people (of which 191 are onsite in Europe and 158 are offshore in Turkey and India). Of these 349 people, about 105 are SAP related resources. SAP is the core ERP system used by the business and the customer is currently running V4.6C (although there is an upgrade to ECC6 planned for 2009).They run R/3, APO, CRM, WMS and BW systems for all of Europe. The SAP BW Designer role is a position that is based in Hampshire and which reports directly to the SAP BI Lead. Experience & Specific Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of SAP BW experience within the module including development, design, support, configuration, testing, compliance & implementation (with completion a full Project lifecycle) Candidates must have experience of: - SAP/BW 7.0 and previous BW versions - Experienced in Front-End and ability to create complex reports - Experienced in Web reporting and Portal solutions - Good knowledge in ABAP - Knowledge and experience in the area of Data Warehousing - Good understanding of business processes - Knowledge of Java would be advantageous - Experience of working with an Offshore Development Team This is a position that sits at 3rd level support and will require someone who is willing to travel throughout Europe on an ad-hoc basis.
