Role: Quality Assurance Engineer / QA Engineer – West London Location: Uxbridge, West London, South East UK Salary: Competitive Type: Permanent Business Context Job Purpose To ensure that the Project DDT processes are understood and appropriately executed
by the Project IVV team and to ensure that the appropriate DDT processes are flowed through to the suppliers Nature and Scope - Auditing of quality systems including analysis of findings, advice on deficiency closure & improvement suggestions - Manage
non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions to closure - Generation and implementation of robust QA work products and processes audits to aid the prediction and prevention of quality defects - Ensuring the integrity of products and processes to
satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirements - Ensuring that customer DDT quality requirements are fully understood and are met - Evaluation of product development lifecycles and processes (SW, HW & systems) - Defect investigation including
facilitation of root cause analysis - Application of statistical techniques to support the effective process management - Application of ‘quality tools and techniques’ to facility the resolution of quality issues - Application of cost of quality
techniques - Identification and facilitaton of quality initiatives and process improvements - Application of risk management techniques to assess, prevent and minimise product quality issues - Evaluation of test strategy, coverage and integrity
fulfillment - Continued awareness of regulatory requirements - Support customer and external agency audits - Application of configuration management techniques - Support first article inspections - Application of process mapping, including support to the
Programme Quality Assurance Manager for improvements of the Business Management system - Communicate effectively the requirements of the Project Business Management System to the DDT team - Evaluation of test strategy, coverage and integrity fulfillment -
Issuing product release documentation - Interfacing and communication with programme and function to support the goals of the business - Providing independent assessments to support milestone reviews and certification - Close working with supply chain
Quality Assurance to ensure effective quality planning, evaluation, approval, monitoring, and corrective action management for DDT operations - Support supplier acceptances - Product release audit - Independent test witnessing - Performing peer reviews
of work products to support programme implementation - Coordinate DDT Quality Assurance activities, including monitoring and status reporting, with the Project Quality Manager and the Project DDT team - Work with the Project Quality manager to plan and
manage the Project DDT Quality matters - Work with other parts of the Project Quality team to ensure consistency of approach and ensure that workload peaks and troughs are shared amongst the team to the benefit of the Programme Education and Experience
Fully conversant with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 Fully conversant with PRINCE2 and ISO 20000 (ITIL standard) Attainment of an engineering or management related degree. Quality Engineering experience within an engineering organisation Competencies
