next level. The role: Project Manager, Network Acquisition Google has an immediate opening for a seasoned technical project manager to plan, facilitate, and manage the acquisition and deployment of new network services acquired from third party suppliers
and vendors globally. This individual will work closely with the technical negotiation team to understand the terms of new contracts and engagements including delivery targets and technical requirements; with internal project management teams to
communicate target completion dates and ensure that all internal requirements are being met in a timely manner; with external vendors to gather and enforce schedules for installation of services; and with internal technical teams to ensure that all
services meet with their technical and service requirements. This person will have overall responsibility for ensuring that services are delivered correctly, cost effectively, and on schedule while facilitating communications between all relevant
internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Work with various internal groups and multiple vendors to ensure the timely and accurate installation of all aspects of facilities-based network services. - Deliver end-to-end solutions for network
connectivity including facilitation of the installation of new network nodes. - Deliver new metropolitan network services. - Deliver long haul transport capacity, and augments to existing transit and peering relationships. Requirements: - An
undergraduate degree in a technical discipline. - A strong understanding of Layer 1 through Layer 3 network services and technologies including dark fiber, DWDM, SONET/SDH, Ethernet, and IP. - A deep understanding of interconnectivity requirements within
carrier hotels including LOA/CFA, physical interfaces, cable types, and riser access. - Excellent organizational, project tracking, and communications skills. - Ability to work with both US-based and international vendors and partners; fluency in one or
more languages other than English a strong plus. - A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail even while working in a very fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment. - Flexibility, accountability, diplomacy, and drive. - Excellent
Internet and computing skills. - A great attitude, willingness and ability to work within and between groups smoothly. - A desire and ability to learn quickly and continually improve processes. - Relevant technical project management experience in a
