LONDON DEANERY Medical Workforce Department The Medical Workforce Department is a large department with over 60 staff. It is responsible for the recruitment, training, assessment and rotation of doctors in training. This is an exciting time to join the London Deanery as the Department expands to accommodate additional and new responsibilities. The following role offers the opportunity to work as part of a team within a busy department, providing a full information service in a changing environment. Senior Information Manager, 12 Months Fixed Term Contract Grade L08 £36,927 - £43,679 pa inclusive of London Weighting Senior Information Manager will manage, maintain and develop the medical workforce information functions ensuring the provision of comprehensive service to the Deanery and its external customers in line with Deanery’s business requirements. The key responsibilities will include line management of a team of information staff, provision of technical support and advice to the department, liaison regarding information issues with the wider Deanery team, and taking the lead as the Deanery’s co-ordinator for local and national information systems and initiatives. To be successful in this post you must be a first class communicator and have a well developed project management skills. You must have a good working knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation along with commitment to confidentiality. You will need to have a proven track record in managing and developing IT systems including manipulating data within databases, SQL and report writing.
