Systems Engineer / Technical Engineer – VMWare ESX Server / Win2003 - Abingdon, Oxfordshire £30,000 - £36,000 + 5% bonus + comprehensive benefits Permanent A unique, varied and technically challenging role in a highly skilled team that build, integrate and deploy large-scale environments (650 hosted virtual servers) which underpin RM’s enterprise level solutions. RM’s key enterprise solutions are technically ground-breaking, impact millions of users and are built using numerous technical components (i.e. MS Server 2003, Windows 2008 Active Directory, OCS, Exchange 2007, Sharepoint 2007, Cisco etc...). This role in our Integration team (10 staff) is focused on designing / building virtualized environments (VMWare ESX Server) for multi-£m / multi-site enterprise projects and leading the troubleshooting process for complex technical integration issues. The role sits right at the heart of our most technically demanding and strategically important projects and would attract someone that enjoys a good balance of complex technical problem solving and the opportunity to communicate widely with a broad range of stakeholders. The role has fantastic career advancement opportunities and has proven to be a great way to move towards technical lead and technical project management roles.
