248980JD Messaging Engineer – Poole, Dorset We are looking for a Messaging Analyst to work in the Messaging and Collaborative Services team. The successful candidate will have experience of working for a large corporate organisation. They should have in-depth knowledge of supporting large organisations’ messaging systems. They must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to analyse issues in line with contractual service level agreements. In addition they will have experience of mail migration projects and mail disaster recovery processes. The role will be 3rd line support for all major issues. Training & Professional Qualifications: - MCSE/MCSA level - At least 3 years experience in messaging support. Skills & Experience: - In depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 5.5 and 2003 - Experience in Windows 2003 server - Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory - Good knowledge of content filtering technologies:Mailsweeper 4.3/MailMarshall - Good Knowledge of Sybari Antigen 8.0 - Good Knowledge of LCS 2003/IM - Experience of Global Address List replication products - Experience of advanced mail routing - Experience of Microsoft clustering preferably multi mode - Ability to take ownership of 3rd level issues - Ability to communicate at all levels - Ability to make proactive recommendations and implement within a large messaging environment - Experience of installation procedures. - Experience of advanced TCP/IP functions (WINS, DNS, DHCP). - Experience of user administration. - Experience of user & disk permissions. - Experience of diagnostics & problem determination. - Experience of diagnosing performance issues. - Experience of disaster recovery planning & implementation. - Experience of general system administration Skills & Experience – Other Desired: - MOM 2005 - Quest EMW/Migration tools - Archiving technology - Blackberry - Mail to fax/fax to mail technology
