Quality Control (QC) Engineer – Scientific Software Company £Attractive Cambridge, UK Join Accelrys, a market leading scientific software provider, and use your background in software testing to enhance the quality of our products. Working closely
with the software development group to understand the requirements, functionality and design of new products, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of Accelrys’ Cheminformatics product-line. Your brief will include creating and executive test
plans and test cases and providing verbal and written progress reports. Qualified to BSc level in Computer Science or related Science disciplines, you will need a good knowledge of commercial software quality practices and a background in software
testing on the Windows platform. Ideally you will also have knowledge of Oracle databases and/or testing in UNIX environments. Some scripting language experience such as PERL would also be advantageous. Highly flexible and detail-orientated, you will
have considerable problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills and the ability to work equally well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team or independently. Accelrys has been delivering software and service solutions to the world's
