HOUSING BENEFIT ASSESSOR

£23733 - £25203

We are looking for 6 (full time) enthusiastic and motivated assessors to join our busy Benefits team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Processing all types of housing and council tax benefit claims within strict guidelines.
• Dealing with internal queries
• Liaising with Benefits agency and other external bodies.
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of Housing & Council Tax benefit legislation.

The successful candidates must:

• Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• Manage and prioritise individual workload.
• Work to strict individual and team targets.
• Be flexible depending on service needs.

Possession of the IRRV Benefits Technician qualification, although not essential would be an advantage.

The Council uses Benefits PERICLES software and the ICLIPSE document management system.

Enfield Council offers free Internet access at local libraries to assist you in applying for council vacancies.
