Overview:

The Business Relationship Manager is the key change agent responsible for focusing on a specific business area and subsequently working with that business function to and determine their strategic needs. The BRM will be working closely with them to convert these into a feasible set of activities and Programmes of work which can then be delivered by Group IS.

 

The job:

A successful BRM must be able to recognize the challenges and opportunities in these engagements and be able to facilitate and align them into a logical, compatible set of demands while understanding and controlling any dependencies as well as dealing with the communication and engagement of key stakeholders.

 

The jobholder will be responsible for varying levels of Capital and Operational expenditure in line with the departments overall budget and Group IS? capital budget. For example, the FY08 IS change budget was in excess of £8M. A BRM will be responsible for allocating and driving real benefit from a spend ranging from £500k to in excess of £3M, depending on the business area.

 

While there are no direct reports, the job holder will be responsible for managing people resources over an extended period of time (6-24 months) and output of a complex matrix of resources across the Group and with our outsourced partners.

 

What we are looking for:

Essential:

·          Significant expertise and understanding of ecommerce and print media sales channels

·          A highly effective change agent who can overcome obstacles to change

·          Can shape various business strategies and align stakeholders to a common vision of the future, delivered through a coherent change programme

·          Experience of managing budgets over £500K

·          Must have experience of conducting and managing internal and external relationships up to executive board level.
