Assistant Manager

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the Store Manager you will have accountability for achieving sales, salaries and stock loss targets for your store with a typical annual turnover of £3-£5m. Working with a small management team you will take ownership for recruiting, training and managing a team of up to 30 staff

The Person
· Experience of working in a high volume, fast paced retail business would be advantageous although not essential.  More importantly is the ability to lead, manage and develop others as you will need to be able to deal effectively with customer and staff issues
· You will be able to demonstrate a good commercial awareness, possess a natural flair for merchandising and have a good eye for detail
· Flexible and adaptable in your approach to work, you will be tenacious, hard working and reliable.  In addition to this you will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational and problem solving skills with a real ?can do? attitude

All our new managers receive six weeks? structured management induction training in their Area training store.  After that you will receive ongoing on the job training and attend skills workshops on a regular basis to develop you further and keep you up-to-date on current thinking.
