Projects & Procurement Manager

Purpose of the role - To lead the major strategic procurement of transport operator partners to deliver an effective value for money service to the Organisation.
To ensure a consistently high quality procurement approach for the organisation, co-ordinate activity for these strategic arrangements and provide the interface between all stakeholders in procurement activity. To represent the organisation at meetings with elected members, operators, Government Officer for the South West, South West Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership and other stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications -
* Graduate of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) (or equivalent)
* Degree in a relevant subject area
* Knowledge of procurement of major strategic partnering arrangements.
* Communication skills in written, oral and presentation formats.
* Negotiation skills/Stakeholder awareness/Understanding of collaborative procurement/Positive outlook.
* Wide strategic procurement experience gained in public sector with demonstrated understanding of private sector management.
* Experience of Project Management at a senior level
* Substantial understanding of public sector procurement including competitive dialogue and management of partnership contracts
Desirable
* Knowledge of procurement of major transport operators
* Project Management qualification.
Location: South West England
Salary: Up to £210 per day Ltd company basis
