Purchasing Manager

Job Profile - As a Purchasing Manager you will be working for a Leading global supplier of rugged industrial computer systems based in Hampshire, working closely with the Head of Operations to implement and improve Procurement activities within the group.

Company - This opportunity is with a very well established world wide supplier of industrial computer systems, offering their Products and services to diverse industries for over 20 years with high profile clients within Transport, Defence, Retail, Medical and manufacturing industries.

Experience
*Execution of Purchasing Strategy - Work with the Head of Operations to define and document the purchasing strategy.
*Supplier Management - Work with the engineering and sales teams in addition to the Quality Manager to select suppliers with the best value combination of technical expertise, quality, price and service.
*Change Control & Obsolescence management - Where we have agreed to provide customers with change-control, give customers and our engineering team the maximum possible advance notice of changes to those materials that are under change-control.
*Purchasing Interface with internal customers - Work with the Production Manager and internal sales team to ensure production is supplied with the correct materials at the right time to meet our production schedule.
*Materials Management - Work with the Head of Operations to determine target stock-turn ratios for materials, WIP and finished goods, and work with the production manager to plan and execute achievement of these targets.
*Management of Purchasing Team - Set daily targets for each member of the purchasing team. Monitor performance against those targets, and carry out situational reviews to reward or correct performance as appropriate.

Location: Hampshire
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000
