Skills - Good analytical skills, previous experience of shipping company is ESSENTIAL

The Role

You will be responsible for -

Market research which include; Economic outlook, market fundamentals, supply & demand, customer/competitor information, other market intelligence upon request.

Strategic issues which include ; Studies & reports, new market exploration and development, service rationalisation, comprehensive strategy making for individual markets, mid-long term business model and strategy, agency contract, and education upon request

Regulatory issues including; Support, follow up and report, information gathering, exchange and submission, internal guideline and code of conduct, contact lawyer and attending outside forums upon request.

Service quality issues which will involve; Support & follow up, maintenance and report, advertisements and promotion, service failure and customer complaints, making/answering to questionnaires (any kind but commercially related), presentational materials update, e-Biz coordination & development within Europe, Presentational materials creation and update upon request.

Meeting information including Preparing, producing, reporting, arranging, weekly reports, EHQ strategy meetings, summer strategy meetings, meetings and support in any event management requirement.

Budget setup, which means supporting the department in the sourcing of various data required for budget setup

Performance review which involves regular performance evaluation of offices/agents by KPI

The Person

You will have strong proven experience within a major shipping line, preferably at HQ level, within a marketing and/or trade management role.

You will have excellent communication skills and be happy working in a team. You will show good initiative and be able to think creatively, being able to work under your own initiative and judgement.

Good analytical skills are also essential.
