Web Designer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding creative studio, creating innovative websites for our clients.

You must be trained to at least Honours Degree level (or equivalent) or have relevant industry experience with the following essential qualities:

You must possess a strong online portfolio displaying a real flair for graphic creativity and an eye for design.

You must have strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and ?Dreamweaver? and be able to hand code in HTML. The ability to code in JavaScript, CSS and Flash would be advantageous but not essential.

You must test your web sites for functionality in all available browsers and at different resolutions and the ability to use both PC and Mac would be an advantage.

Qualities that will make you stand out from the rest are: Experience with user experience design (or UXD) and have some experience with web database solutions, however our ?in-house? web developer will support you when more complex coding is required.

Along with website design, you will also be asked to design email campaigns and HTML newsletters, and possess the technical knowledge to set up/register domain names, set up hosting, emails and other documents relating to the internet and have an in-depth knowledge and interest of current web-design trends and techniques and be only too happy to bring new to the studio.

You will be expected to inspire your account manager and be able to fully understand a brief and take a design from concept to completion, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, whilst working under pressure effectively and efficiently.

You must have a flexible attitude with experience of working in a small team, yet also be confident enough to take the lead in a project and be only to happy to speak to clients on a one to one basis.
