Linux Administrator Secure Projects

Logica are looking to recruit a skilled Linux Administrator with experience within secure Government projects to join the Security and Identity Management practice. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for the Installation, administration and maintenance of Linux systems.
Successful candidates should have one or more years experience and have technical experience of some of the following: ITIL, network storage and software tools for provisioning, configuration management, configuration control and performance tuning.
In addition to the above, recent experience making a significant contribution to a secure Government IT project is important.
Candidates would typically be currently working for commercial suppliers to Government.
The role is based in the South West and will involve work from Logica offices in Gloucester, Reading or London as well as working on client sites.
Candidates must have a flexible approach to work, with excellent interpersonal skills and client focus.
Given the nature of the business conducted from within the practice the role will require the highest level of Government security clearance.

Function Technical
Experience & Qualifications Essential skills:
* Good knowledge of Bash scripting
* General redhat Linux experience
* Ability to work in a terminal environment with various editors such as vi & sed
* Good analytical capability and general technical knowledge
Desirable skills:
* A solid in networks
* Knowledge of DHCP & DNS servers used for kickstart
* Familiarity with HP service desk
* Knowledge of IBM hardware (down to bios level)
