An excellent opportunity has come up for a commercial manager to work on a 12 month contract in BAsed out or the Warwickshire UK office you will be stationed in CANADA. The sector will be in the expanding windfarms arena. This is an exciting and innovative sector with today?s current climate issues.
This is a ?pre contract position? as opposed to ?post? contract, with the objective to avoid disputes arising under the contracts and protect the commercial and contractual position of the Project by taking proactive action to settle contractors time and money entitlements and resolve disagreements early in a fair but positive manner. Must have exposure to the windfarm industry or similar coupled with an ability to manage budgets and forecasting in particular, coupled with the ability to provide advice on contracts, Advise the Contracts Manager generally in respect the contractual administration function of the contracts, assist with monitoring the requirements and timing for action to be taken under the contracts by the Engineer or Employer.
Assist with preparation of the Engineer or Employer formal notices under the contracts. Advise and assist with review of contractual correspondence and preparation of responses. Advise on measures to mitigate against or avoid the consequences of claims under the contracts. Assist with the assessment and evaluation of contractors extension of time and money entitlement claims. Assist the Contracts Manager to monitor contractors failure to adhere to contract terms and procedures and advise on corrective action.
Assist the Contracts Manager, if requested, with any other matter concerning the Project. Provide advice on the contract in relation to the execution of contracts on the Windfarm project. Knowledge of managing budgets and forecasts along with providing financial reports. Liaise with Engineers and Project Managers. Advise on Engineers duties and responsibilities under the contracts and the timing of actions and advise and assist in the event of any formal dispute resolution processes.
