Ingenico UK Ltd, part of Ingenico Group, are the leading provider of secure payment solutions to customers globally.
A vacancy exists for a Project Manager Grade 1 based at Dalgety Bay in Fife.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead, manage and co-ordinate various activities of cross functional project teams. This requires close liaison with the relevant project sponsors/customers and resource managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, to the right quality and within budget in line with business priority.
Areas of specific focus include but are not limited to: -
Project Management
· Driving individual projects to completion in line with the relative business priorities.
· Work closely with all project stakeholders but specifically with key project team members to ensure that the correct project structure/environment is created to support the scope of work.
· Work closely with customers, liaise /manage third party contractors and suppliers as required to meet project delivery requirements.
· Create, execute and update project plans based on the input from the project team work packages.
· Manage and escalate where necessary all project risks/issues/dependencies and incidents through to resolution.
· Facilitate communication through various mediums and frequencies in line with agreed project governance.
Functional Activities
· Continuous improvement of the project management processes and procedures in line with business change/demands.
· Deliver functional activities as outlined in appraisal objectives
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
· Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with senior management and customers
· Working knowledge in project management principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from cradle to grave
· Ability to produce progress reporting against plan on a one to one and one to many basis and at all levels across the business
· Working knowledge in risk management methods and techniques for the assessment and management of risk/issues
· Working knowledge in the use of planning tools and techniques associated with the planning and monitoring of progress of projects
· Working knowledge of the PRP project lifecycle and Ingenico NER operational/ development processes and procedures preferable
· It is preferred that Grade 1 Project Managers complete the Open University M865 course in Project Management (or equivalent)
· Capability to manage and deliver standalone project work
· Working knowledge of the EPOS and IT industries preferable but not essential
Special factors:
· This position will involve national and international travel, overnight stays and out of hours working
