Senior principle Software engineer / Software developer / senior software engineer needed for a leading global security company whose 120,000 employees provide innovative systems, products, and solutions in aerospace, electronics, information systems, shipbuilding and technical services to government and commercial customers worldwide.
Systems include high performance sensors and intelligence processing and navigation systems operating in all environments from undersea to outer space. Applications include airborne surveillance, space sensing, biochemical detection, intelligence fusing and analysis, aircraft fire control, precision weapon engagement, electronic countermeasures, inertial navigation, air and missile defence, air traffic control, ship bridge control, communications, mail processing, and robotic bomb disposal.
Maritime systems include propulsion and power-generation systems for ships and submarines, control systems, shipboard launch systems and unmanned semi-autonomous systems.
A position has come available as a senior principle Software engineer / Software developer / senior software engineer who will act as Project manager for a product derived from the well establishes radar and navigation systems my client develop. Managing internally funded product development, the project manager will be responsible for the technical and project management for my client's marine integrated bridge systems. Liason with a wide range of stakeholders will be critical to the success of the project, as will the technical management of the team.
Key duties are to include;
*Project management of development
*Technical management of the development, with support from existing architects
*Liaison with internal and external stakeholders including UK MOD and related suppliers
*Responsibility for a small software development team, based locally in other offices.
*Occasional travel both within the UK and further a field
*To be aware of and comply with company standards of conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
Applicants with be qualified to HND/Degree standard in computer science or software engineering, have a wealth of experience using CMMI, C#.NET and object oriented analysis and design. It is essential that applicants have a in Marine systems integrated bridge system's including systems radar and charting systems.
