Salary - circa. £100k base + 35% bonus, car allowance, BUPA for immed family, 30 days holiday + more.
Our client's business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client's IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivatives swaps and fixed income products. Our client's position in London will further benefit as the banking world adjusts to a more regulated and structured environment. As a highly established and one of just two preferred suppliers to this client we have been asked to recruit an Offshore Development Centre Manager.
The Offshore Development Centre Manager is the primary operational interface between the organisation and the Offshore Development Centre(s). The role is not a technical delivery role. The focus of the role is on the service delivered by the offshore capabilities. Primary responsibility of the role is to ensure the day-to-day and longer-term service provided by the Offshore Development capabilities meets the company's expectations.
Specific responsibilities include:-
Creating an Offshore Development capability
Growing and Continuously Improving the Offshore Development capability
Facilitating the effective use of the Offshore Development capability
Ensure the Offshore Development capability meets the company's expectations
Ensure the Offshore Development capability provide a safe, stable, high-availability environment to support the business and its customers
This role sits alongside the Director - Development and the Director - Production, all of which report to the Director - IT and Change who in turn reports to the Group CIO.

*Project Management Office Skills
Required Experience -
*Experience of establishing and working with an offshore development capability
*Commercially "sharp" with excellent negotiating skills and able to hold suppliers to demanding contracts
*Collaborative team player used to delivering in a fast paced, demanding and organisationally complex environment
*Rigorous, disciplined, process-driven but able to deliver pragmatic solutions as the business demands
*Extensive Service Transition Experience
*Extensive experience in IT team lead/management.
*Extensive Stakeholder Management experience
*ITIL qualification (Foundation or Manager) - nice to have
*Experience of working in the finance/banking sector
*Prince 2 Practitioner - nice to have

We are a highly established and just one of two preferred suppliers to this client. This role may suit individuals currently holding roles such as: Head of Development, Development Manager, Delivery Manager, Software Manager or IT Director. Extensive off-shoring experience needed.
