Application Packager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Application Packager to join the team of a major blue chip Automotive client based in Solihull.


Job Description:

In order to deliver 1200 applications, these will need to be packaged and delivered to the clients via SMS.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Excellent application packaging and testing skills using a snapshot based packaging tool, i.e. WISE, InstallShield, SMS, Wininstall or LANDesk.

Excellent knowledge of Windows 2000 Workstation and Windows XP Professional, including registry manipulation. Vista experience will probably be of benefit in the future.

Experience of installing and configuring a wide range of desktop applications.

Experience of centrally managed application deployment within a large corporation (+1000 Users).

Good scripting skills, especially in VBScript.

Strong analytical and problem solving ability.

Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.

Prior experience of the Automotive sector is highly desirable.
