The role:
To investigate and design business solutions using technology infrastructure to ensure efficient operation of the client's networks and associated computer systems and to provide IT support to staff so they are able to carry out their role efficiently.
Key skills required are:
* Experience of working in a technical support / engineer capacity
* Comprehensive knowledge of IIS, Application/Web Security, Content Management systems
* Programming ability in ASP and ASP.Net
* Scriptwriting ability in JavaScript, VB and SQL
* Experience of working within a number of computer environments and platforms, including servers using a mixture of Microsoft 2000/2003, Unix, Linux, and relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL server
* Knowledge of Win2K3, Citrix, Exchange 2K3, DNS, DHCP and IIS
* Knowledge of Win2K3 Active directory structure
* Experience in a multi-server environment
* Implementation of all layers of security
* Sound technical knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
* Strong analytical skills and effective positive problem solving
* Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
* Effective project management skills
* Effective communication and relationship building skills with both internal users and external suppliers
* Excellent organisational, customer service and time management skills
