Based in West London, one of the UK's most respected e-commerce businesses are seeking a Senior Perl Developer to join their existing Technical Development team. Working in it's vibrant head office you will join a company which has recently placed second in the prestigious Tech Track 100 league table for fastest growing UK businesses

As a Senior Perl Developer, your key objective will be implementing and maintaining existing and new products and services largely across the Video on Demand business platform. Additionally your core responsibilities will include:

*To provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members of the development and wider technology teams
*Contributing to the quality of delivery including the development, integration, test and release infrastructure
*To participate in the recruitment of Perl development staff
*To work with 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure that software is efficiently implemented
*To contribute to technical consultancy and advice to the technical and management teams as required

It is anticipated that in order to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

*High level of application development using object oriented Perl on Unix platforms
*Particular knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL or other widely used SQL database product
*Demonstrate understanding of emerging LAMP technologies
*Experience in an Agile Development environment
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
