LOCATION: SOUTHAMPTON
SALARY AND BENEFITS: UP TO £60,000
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Significant relevant analysis experience within an aerospace structural engineering environment, covering analysis and design of metallic and composite structures.
Technical resource man management.
Appreciation and understanding of stress analyses methodologies.
Airworthiness experience, CS / FAR Parts 23 / 25 and DEF STAN 00-970 related.
First or higher degree or appropriate alternative experience.
Proven application of professional responsibilities and authorities.
ROLE INFORMATION:
Stress resource man-management (timekeeping, performance, appraisal, disciplinary etc.)
Task supervision of and adherence to agreed milestones
Budget and adherence to budget
Performance measurement of stress resource project teams
Maintenance of stress resource supply base, particularly strategic suppliers
Customer facing commercial negotiation. Maintain a scheduled dialogue with the customer to develop timely control of claims traffic.
Material review board (concession) support and resource provision
Ability to communicate confidently and with authority with senior personnel both internally and externally
Support the development of methods and capability in structural analysis disciplines
Support the preparation of technical proposals in support of new projects
Ability to prepare estimates for stress tasks and collate metrics for development of a more "scientific" estimating process
Prepared to travel where necessary to support projects worldwide
*Quality - manage the maintenance and development of department quality systems
*Audits - support the maintenance of quality standards via internal and external audits
*Training - and provide training where appropriate
*Mentoring - mentoring of junior staff and support development of mentoring process
