.Net Analyst Developer (B2B / B2C / SEO), Cheshire, Up to £40k

Role Purpose:

To work as a .Net Analyst Developer assuring timely designdevelopmentdelivery and support of quality software products which conform to the company specific established requirements, standards and timelines. B2B / B2C / SEO is crucial for the position.

To produce maintainable, scaleable technical solutions to enhance the IT infrastructure and encourage business growth.

To produce software solutions that can be offered to external businesses to fulfil and enhance their IT infrastructure and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Develop and extend Web & Desktop Applications and Services in alignment with the Development Standards that underpin the business strategy and focus.

Business Focus
*Maintain a customer centric focus in performing all job responsibilities
*Allow for a collaborative, open environment for the discussion of software development issues, software design alternatives, product improvements and technological enhancements.
*Demonstrate a co-operative problem solving approach that aligns development efforts with the overall technology strategy, technical architecture, development standards and management direction.

Technical Implementation
*Follow the standards and methodologies within the organisation and provide appropriate deliverables associated with the requirements gathering, design, estimating, development, testing, and implementation/roll-out of the applications and services.
*Propose, discuss and communicate innovative new approaches, techniques and processes that can improve product construction, deployment and maintenance beyond its current state. Ensure proposals and implementations are in alignment with strategic direction and overall technical architecture.
*Define, raise and mitigate technical risks relative to software design and implementation
*Design, develop and execute unit and system test plans.
*Participate in design and code reviews of the developer's own code as well as others in the organization. To be flexible whilst still working to a project plan; proactively seeking and resolving issues.
*Troubleshoots and repairs bugs and problems.
*Responsible deployment of files to a live environment.
Technical Knowledge

-Extensive commercial exposure to Object Orientated C# .NET 2.0
-Extensive commercial exposure to ASP.NET 2.0 Web Application and Service development.
-Extensive commercial exposure of XML, XPath and XSLT
-Extensive commercial experience of using ASP.NET supporting technologies such as AJAX.
-Highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 IDE
-Highly proficient in the use of SOAP (ASMX) and WCF technologies.
-Knowledgeable of core Microsoft Patterns and Practices (Enterprise Library and Software Factory) including recogonised Anti-Patterns.
-Knowledgeable in the use of Object Orientated Patterns (aka GOF)
-Proficient in the use of SQL (both DML and DDL).

Preferred

-Proficient in the use of Database design methodologies and tools (aka 3NF, ERD).
-Knowledge of UML.
-Advanced Oracle PLSQL
-Microsoft MCSD/MCAD Qualifications
-Advanced UML skills (Use Cases, Sequence, Component and Deployment models)
