PHP Technical Lead - Online Properties

My Client, a leading online media player based in London, are looking for an outstanding Senior PHP Developer to join their European team in this exciting growth phase to help drive the success, growth, and strategy of the European business.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure quality control of all code.
• Ownership of server management.
• Responsibility for deployment of code to production servers. 
• Use new technologies to build innovative user applications for our various websites
• Develop and maintain internal tools
• Maintain current PHP applications
• Assist in the design, coding and testing of technical solutions.   
• Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management and accurately employing our development tools.
• Mentorship and development of Junior PHP Developers.

• Ability to assist Lead Developer as and when required. 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience programming in object-oriented PHP.
• Experience of working within Start-up environments is preferred
• SEO / SEM Experience
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented design patterns and how they are used in software design.
• A strong understanding of XHTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript.
• Experience in MySQL or any relational database is a must.
• Experience with AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies.
• Experience with the use of source code control systems (subversion, cvs, etc).
• Good understanding of server management and coding practices.
