Hotel Product Strategy Director

The Hotel Product Strategy Director will own the product strategy and direction for a particular customer/distribution channel on a Global basis within my client which is a globally recognised travel technology organisation ? understanding the market landscape and how this channel operates, visioning the future and the opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
? Builds an extensive understanding of the market landscape within the hotel distribution channel ? including competitive information, customer/market data, technical developments and key trends.
? Develops and maintains relevant product knowledge and understands the value position of My Client products against competition.
? Establishes strong and effective relationships with key customers in the sector, partnering to better understand their future requirements and to test the opportunities and value propositions.
? Creates and owns the future vision for products and services in the specific customer/distribution channels, developing a clear strategy and roadmap working in conjunction with both the Product Management and Technology teams.
Experience Required:
? Strong understanding gained from within Hotel / Hospitality Industry from either Supplier or Client side
? Strong technical understanding aligned with commercial acumen.
? Demonstrable strategic skills ? strategic consultancy experience desirable.
? Clear customer focus and track record ? comfortable networking, building external relationships
? Ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization ? influencing skills and experience
? Strong change manager, excited by the future ? ability to challenge existing ways of operating
