Job Title - Internal Communications Advisor

Salary - basic £25,000 - £32,000pa package £26,250 - £33,600

Our client is an IT division of one of the 'big 6' energy providers in the UK.

Main Purpose of Job:

Responsible for supporting the delivery of the internal communications strategy and plan for our client's IT division. The key requirement of the role is to increase staff understanding of the business vision, plans, objectives and cultural values and to support the overall pan-European transformation activity in line with the broader European IT communications plan

Principal Accountabilities:

Reporting to the UK Communications Manager you will:
*Manage the implementation of the 2009 internal communications strategy and plan for IT
*Create where required and manage the end-to-end process for the production and delivery of effective internal communication through formal communication channels, such as:
-Team briefings
-Online newsletters
-Face to face events
supported by Q and A's, key facts as required.
*Produce communications bi-lingually to ensure German and UK audience have access to all communication materials
*Evaluate the comms channels above to ensure they meet communication objectives and make recommendations for change to Corporate Communications Manager as required
*Research, write and gain approval for internal announcements, articles, emails, road shows, and communication deliverables as defined by the communications plan, using professional judgement to ensure that all written copy and content is consistent with the objectives of the business, and the channel or publications voice.
*Establish context and ensure credibility and consistency of messages.
*Effective project management to ensure channels are delivered to a regular planned comms schedule
*Preparation of Induction pack for new starters across the business unit and provide input into overall IT induction process as required
*Support major project communications working with Programme Manager and our client's communications resource

Knowledge and Skills:
*Fluent written and spoken German and English
*Experience of creating and implementing communications plans aimed at internal audiences
*Significant copywriting / editorial skills to produce effective internal communications
*Experience of project and budget management
*Internal and external communications expertise
*Negotiation and diplomatic skills - experience of influencing at senior level
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Communications, Marketing and PR qualifications desirable

Additional Information
*Expected to be flexible in hours worked.
*Required to work regularly at the IT locations across the UK and regular travel to Europe
