Candidate Summary

The role reports directly to Head of Business Change and involves working closely with all areas of the business, both internally and 3rd parties, turning initial into a business case and once approved into functional requirements that

meet user, developer and test needs. It will involve gaining a full understanding of how the Business Systems are used in managing the operation.

·         The role will have no direct reports but excellent relationship skills are a must as they will be crucial in working with the operation and 3rd party suppliers.  The candidate will need to be a good communicator, comfortable operating in a fast

 

       changing environment, with a hands-on approach and a willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities.

·         You will be an ambassador for a structured approach to the project lifecycle and assist with the development of more junior team members

·         Strong stakeholder and client/supplier management skills are required

Main Duties

  • Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications for developer and test team needs
  • Producing Business Cases to assist with solutions to business challenges and in their prioritisation
  • To provide the link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle
  • Working with Project Manager to provide updates showing progress against outstanding milestones, resource requirements, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Assisting business areas with process improvement plans

Selection Process

The selection process for this role will consist of two stages. 

 

Shortlisting will take place on w/c 22nd June.  If you are successfully shortlisted you will be invited to attend a selection date on 26th June, which will consist of:  

 

·         A personality profile assessment (10 minutes);

·         A Scenario (case study approach) which may involve a presentation (20 minutes preparation)

·         A Competency Based Interview (90 minutes); 

 

Stage One is likely to last around 2 hours.  Candidates who successfully pass this stage may be invited to attend a second interview at a later date.

·         Successful candidates will be based in Fairclough House, Adlington, Lancashire

·         Salary for the role £30,000 - £35,000 depending on level of experience
