Location:        South Wales (Commutable from Newport, Cardiff, Bristol, Monmouth)
Type:              Permanent
Salary:            £35k - £50k

The Client

Our client is a leader in the development and supply of embedded processing modules. They not only supply but offer full design service covering electronic design, application software and BSP development, PCB and VHDL design, through to prototype and full production.

The Role

Our Client is looking to strengthen their high skills team with an Embedded Software Engineer.

You will be working in a dynamic team and you will be responsible for developing Embedded software at a very low level.  Activities will include: Linux Kernel development in PPC, ARM and Intel Processors aswell as configuring of kernel for an embedded system.  You will also be writing kernel drivers, linux application development, boot loader development, etc.

You will need;

• Very strong Embedded C skills
• Linux Kernel Development
• Kernel driver development
• Boot Loader development in eCos, uboot, and Linux.
• Experience of using CAN area networks. RS232/RS422/RS485
• RTOS ( Real time OS) experience
• Able to hit the ground running
