As a niche specialist IT procurement consultancy, our client increases IT supplier value for money and service quality for their clients. Due to growing client demand, they are looking to recruit an IT Procurement Consultant / IT Purchasing Manager to deliver new client projects.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of projects and be part of the first consultancy dedicated to IT procurement excellence across the full buying lifecycle for all IT spend categories.

As an IT Procurement Consultant / IT Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for delivering high quality IT procurement services to clients in both the public and private sectors. Due to the small size of the company, you will have a much wider remit, with the opportunity to push the business forward in terms of knowledge management and business strategy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Providing high quality advice and delivery work to client IT and IT procurement departments
- Managing procurement projects
- Producing achievable project plans, and providing regular planning updates
- Managing and/or working within cross-functional project teams
- Passing on any sales opportunities to the Directors for progression

This role will be mainly based on various client sites, primarily in London though some UK travel will be required.

To be considered for this position you must have:

- Experience as a Procurement Consultant
- IT procurement experience
- An MCIPS or FCIPS qualification or equivalent

As the IT Procurement Consultant / IT Purchasing Manager you should also have excellent communication skills, an outgoing and confident approach, and the ability to deliver high quality, complex projects on time. Project management experience or a Prince2 qualification would be beneficial to your application.
