IP Architect

This leading telecoms provider is looking for an IP Architect to take a long term view of the organisation and industry and ensure that the company improves its position in the market place as a Pan European telecommunications provider.

The key objective of this role is to provide design, implementation and technical support relative to the company's IP infrastructure.

In addition, you will take the engineering responsibility for the development of complex customer solutions working in conjunction with the sales team in interpreting the customer's specifications to ensure a crafted supportable solution that can be clearly communicated to the rest of the business.

The successful candidate will have experience in operating service provider networks, comprehensive IP and routing knowledge, Cisco platform and IOS knowledge, solid understanding of Juniper platform and knowledge of Junos, comprehensive understanding of IP and related service protocols in an ISP environment and an understanding of telco service layers (i.e. xDSL, Frame Relay, ATM, VPN, VoIP, transmission).

In addition, experience of OSS network management architectures; an understanding of DNS, domain name registration and zone administration; and the ability to understand and execute policies and procedures UNIX/Solaris/HPUX would be advantageous.
