Head of Supplier Account Management

In this role you'll manage one of our major terminal supplier relationships (either with Apple or RIM) and oversee an annual spend of ?1bn with a target to achieving annual savings and benefits of ?100m via Supplier Week, TVO and SRMP.
You'll deliver short, medium and long-term SCM strategies (18 months to 3 years) for Global Terminals, aligned with the long-range goals with focus on budget and commercial benefits from terminals suppliers, (e.g. pricing, time-to-market, etc).
You'll strategic and tactical issues to be included into the annual business plan of terminals. You'll be responsible for the supplier strategy based on a cross-functional approach, leveraging relationships and taking decisions where risks are significant. You'll also lead negotiations with suppliers and deliver a competitive advantage through leveraging Vodafone's global scale and scope with significant impact on profitability.

As Head of Supplier Account Management, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Developing and leading the global commercial relationship with multinational Terminal suppliers headquartered in US and Europe, handling highly complex strategic issues
* Managing the benefits creation with Terminal suppliers through Supplier Week and Core Team negotiation processes, leveraging Vodafone's global scale for competitive advantage in all regions
* Setting new standards in strategic global negotiations, together with the OpCo heads of purchasing in terms of negotiation strategies, processes, organisation and target setting for respective suppliers
* Managing the Global Framework Agreements with all respective suppliers and ensuring sustainable competitive advantages
* Developing and implementing a programme with suppliers aligned to the global portfolio in order to deliver customised terminals on time, to budget and specification
As Head of Supplier Account Management, your skills and qualifications will include:
* University degree (or equivalent)
* Experience of product management and development in marketing or in Supply Chain/ Purchasing and managing direct reports including commercial strategy development
* International experience in a complex multi-business multicultural, environment
* Ability to accomplish goals in traditional and matrix organisations preferable
