Reporting to the Vice President Eastern Hemisphere Operations, the General Manager - Europe is responsible for establishing short and long term sales strategies for various regions in order to sustain and grow the company?s business interests.  The position is also responsible for directing a sales team to achieve revenue targets, overseeing operations personnel related to manufacturing and service, developing budgets and forecasts, building solid rapport and partnership with customer base, and evaluating and proposing product development and strategic business opportunities.

This position is based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Preferred applicants will possess a combination of the following qualifications:

• University Degree or Technical School Diploma in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  Ten years valve and choke sales experience (surface and subsea) related to the oil and gas industry, a proven track record for meeting revenue targets, and a solid understanding of customer technical requirements
• Five years business management experience, including extensive experience in the review and preparation of bids and proposals, and strong knowledge of business finance principles regarding profit and loss, margins, costs, etc
• Well developed leadership and team management skills, including superior communication, customer relations and interpersonal skills - combined with a high degree of self motivation
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and operations practices
• Proficient with computer tools and applications
• This position will require regular travel
