PCB & CAD Engineer - Electronic Fire Security Industry - Sunbury on Thames - Middlesex To ?40,000 package. Our client is a major global electronics business. Its major focus is on the design and production of safety / security products and systems
which are mainly installed in commercial, industrial and public buildings. Systems include access control, intruder detection, CCTV systems, fire detection systems and residential patient call systems (Ie nursing homes). These systems usually consist of
a central addressable control panel with embedded software mounted inside premises which communicates with remotely placed detection / signal devices by wired or wire-free methods. These systems in turn communicate with off-site management systems and
control centres. One of our client?s manufacturing divisions concentrates primarily on the production of control panels, detectors, sensors and ancillary products for Fire Detection systems. This business now needs a PCB / CAD Engineer to work with the
Research and Development team and contribute to different projects related to the company?s development of its next generation range of sensors and detectors. This recruitment is part of a wider campaign made necessary by the decision of the business to
relocate core R&D for fire control panels and detectors / sensors into the Sunbury office from different locations in Europe. Previous fire detection industry is not essential. 1. OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB ? Development of PCB layouts for electronic
products for safety systems, as part of a Research & Development team in a World-leading multinational organisation 2. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ? Create & maintain PCB layouts ? Create and maintain product assembly drawings for
manufacturing ? Support the conversion of data from legacy applications so that legacy products can be supported on current applications ? Liaising closely with other engineers to create robust designs ? Liaising with the manufacturing team for transfer
of documentation ? Comply with Company standards & procedures Reports to: Design Services Manager 3. PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION Knowledge & Experience ? Well experienced in multi-layer PCB layout for surface mount and through-hole technology ?
Experience in PCB layout for correct EMC design ? Experience with Altium 2008 upwards ? Experience with Pro E ? Written English Training & Qualifications ? Degree in a Technical subject preferably Electronics Disposition ? Interpersonal skills to
