BASIC: £55,000 plus Performance bonus

JOB SPECIFICATION: Managing Director / UK General Manager
As Managing Director of the business your role will be to lead, manage and drive the small but dedicated UK workforce. Your main focus will be to develop the operation and double the business via a planned and strategic business approach. You will be supported by a General Manager, the Sales Director and a small but dedicated manufacturing team. Reporting to the Chairman/Owner you will be responsible for all the functions of managing an SME including P&L, Budgetary, manufacturing, warehousing, import/ export, sales & marketing, product development and assist in new market development.
REQUIREMENTS: Managing Director / UK General Manager
We are looking for a Director who is degree educated and has strong analytical and strategic business planning skills and can oversee the entire operation and add structure focus and drive to an already successful business. As the candidate you should have a proven track record of running and controlling an SME within the Toy, Giftware, Textiles, House-wares or Consumable sectors, and have solid all round experience of:
* Importing from China, and experienced in FOB
* Knowledge of purchasing and Supply chain
* Knowledge of Major Retailers and High Street Distribution
* Have held your own P&L responsibilities
* Sage and MI reporting systems.
* Licensing and licensed products knowledge would be beneficial,
