Junior Project Manager - Web Based - London
1) Essential Experience
* 2 years min. recent experience of managing a wide range of online consumer facing projects for a renowned media agency or media owner
* Deep, broad, and up to date understanding of Project Management methodologies, especially Agile based methodologies such as SCRUM
* Management of multiple complex projects with tight deadlines and uncompromising clients
* Strong experience of the technologies and infrastructures that underpin online consumer services
* Solid grasp of the processes required and gateway criteria to meet when delivering an online service to a large scalable production environment
* Excellent ability to manage their own workload
* A high level of team organisation skills
2) Technical / Functional Skills
* Solid understanding of web-based technologies, both client and server side,
* Good experience of associated online technologies, such as networking protocols, web servers, application servers, databases etc
Role -
* Establish a strong working relationship with all involved stakeholders within xxx and the local market departments (Channel Teams, Content, Sales, Business Development) to successfully manage the implemention of an Editorial driven solution
* Assessment and prioritisation of projects
* Co-ordination of all tasks and activities required during the definition phase, ensuring sufficient detailed planning based on the project and situation, to translate the client needs into tangible portal feature requests or solution definitions
* Ensure active participation of all applicable parties during the definition phase to the level required for the project at the appropriate point in time e.g. Editorial, Sales, Technical, Operations, Delivery
* Ensure consideration is given to a broader use of any defined solution across the wider EMEA organisation, either in whole or as componentised features
* Production of applicable documentation relating to the scope and functionality of the project such as a Functional Specification, Site Map, KPIs etc
* Facilitate constant communication and negotiation throughout the project through to completion with all applicable project participants
* Act as the Product Owner during the project delivery or feature request implementation, acting as the customer advocate and ensuring the solution / feature request is delivered with integrity and to the highest quality
* Manage the relationship with the involved market Editors and Channel Managers from a technical POV , such as provision of content feeds, assets and clients' content assets (e.g. ads, branded content of the client).
* Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) at the appropriate point in the project lifecycle and obtain client sign-off
* Triage and prioritisation of Quick Fix Engineering (QFEs) and Change Requests either during the project delivery phase or for shipped solutions
* Conduct post-project reflections where applicable to what went well, not so well, and actions for improvement
* Management of quick turnaround projects that require delivery by the local market teams, and answers to simple non-project questions such as feasibility of future or general consultancy
* Produce end project reporting where applicable to gauge the effectiveness of the overall project in respect of meeting KPIs versus time and cost invested, and recommend improvements
