Digital Blunders 2: Return of the howler
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the office...

Two years ago silicon.com ran a feature called Digital Blunders. We invited you to share with us your most embarrassing experiences with email, voicemail, mobile phones and technology in general. You did not disappoint.

But two years is a long time - a lot can go wrong in two years. It only takes a second to hit 'reply' when you meant to hit 'forward' and it only takes a fraction of a second to dial the wrong phone number from your mobile. So now we want to hear your latest cyber-mishaps.

It's time for Digital Blunders 2.

To give you an idea of what we're after here is some of the feedback we had with the original Digital Blunders:

"When I was getting divorced, my now ex-wife sent me a shirty email telling me that she could not afford to live in our flat and therefore wanted me to buy her out. I forwarded this to a mate, adding the comment: 'Fantastic, the flat is going to turn into a Grade A bachelor pad, let's start pulling cheap sluts,' and unfortunately copied her in the reply." *

"A friend had been travelling Australia and New Zealand for nearly a year, and before setting off back to UK, sent a blast email to everyone in her address book, including family, friends and everyone she had met on her travels. She thanked all the people she'd met for such a fantastic time, and looked forward to returning home - one of her friends emailed back saying he was sorry they wouldn't be seeing her before she left, and was amazed at "how many blokes you shagged"... but, you guessed it - he'd replied to all!" *

"Somebody I used to work with sent an email to a company-wide distribution list by accident. It contained pictures of naked women with intimate tattoos. It got out to everybody in the company up to the letter G before we could stop it. The person who sent it got sacked and the four other internal people in the office who had forwarded it were put on disciplinary! Their names were contained in the From/To email headers! Doh!" *
