HP 2133 Mini-Note PC
HP's take on the dinky laptop has a similar look to the Eee. And while it is also aiming for the education market the hardware has been designed with the mobile worker in mind as well - the company points to its anodised aluminium shell and scratch resistant display, for instance.
Like the Eee 900, the Mini-Note has an 8.9-inch display, though the laptop is a tad heavier (1.27kg). Dimensions are also similar to the Eee at: 25.5cm x 16.5cm x 3.3cm.
Novell SUSE Linux and Windows Vista versions are available - though an XP version is also on the cards.
Price is around £350, with the Linux model retailing for less than Windows versions.
