The virtual world is set in the distant sci-fi future with participants assuming the roles of colonists who must develop the untamed planet of Calypso and explore its two continents, Amethera and Eudoria.

Mindark's Behrmann told silicon.com: "This planet is not built-up. It's quite barren and uncivilised with indigenous creatures and hostile robot forces so you have a more game-like element in the framework."
