Photos: E-tailer Iwoot opens Second Life shop
Buy real items - or go on a treasure hunt

The island comprises five buildings, which spell out Iwoot when observed from above.

The 'W' is the virtual shop where a selection of products will be available to purchase (pictured).

Booth said: "Second Life gives you a tremendously broad canvas in which to make [an online transaction] much more of a fun experience."

Visitors send their avatar to the store, select a product and take it to the virtual counter where the avatar pays in Linden Dollars. The product is then delivered to the user in the real world.

Booth added: "Whether you are buying a product or just mucking around within the brand space, that to us is still business."
