By Felicity Ussher, 30 June 1998 12:52

NEWS Autonomy - which develops software for structuring information - is to float for $50m (£31m) on the EASDAQ stock exchange. The young UK-based company aims to strengthen its financial position before expanding internationally. The company's marketing director, Dominic Johnson, said: "We will be announcing integration and distribution partners at the end of the year in Europe, the US, and the Pacific Rim. Then we will concentrate on developing the product for mobile computing and digital television." Autonomy structures free text into a computer-recognisable form. Its flotation is scheduled for autumn 1998.
