NEWS EDS has teamed up with one of Russia's largest systems integrators, LanIT, to form a services company in the former communist state. The joint venture, to be called EDS-LanIT, will offer professional services to Russian customers. EDS said the deal makes it the first IT services multinational to enter the emerging Russian market. The company already has a foot in the country in the form of AT Kearney, its management consulting subsidiary, and Unigraphics, a software firm.
