In brief: Logica looks after Scottish children's agency

By Tony Hallett, 15 July 1998 15:56

NEWS Logica has won a £10m contract to handle the IT requirements of the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA), the agency which monitors 'at risk or in trouble' children in Scotland. The outsourcing contract, negotiated under the Private Finance Initiative, will run for ten years, and means Logica will design and own all the IT assets of SCRA. One of the company's first tasks will be to link 37 offices using a networked system based on bespoke and packaged software.
